| Signature | To provide legal proof of waiver acceptance |
| Parent/Guardian Signature | Legal requirement for participants under 18 years of age |
| IP Address & Device Information | To create an audit trail proving when and where the waiver was signed, providing legal protection for both parties |
Purpose of Data Collection
Your data is collected for the following purposes:
- Calculating safe ski binding release settings (DIN) to help prevent injury
- Creating a legal waiver record for the demo equipment you use
- Managing demo events and equipment distribution
- Contacting you regarding the equipment you borrowed or future events (only with your consent)
Legal Basis
We process your personal data based on:
- Your explicit consent (provided when you check the consent boxes)
- Legitimate interest in ensuring your safety through proper equipment settings
- Legal obligation to maintain waiver records
Data Retention
Waiver records are retained for 3 years from the date of the demo event. This retention period aligns with Quebec's standard liability period for personal injury claims. After this period, your data will be securely deleted.
Data Sharing
Your personal data may be shared with:
- Ruelland Inc. staff members who manage demo events
- Demo event organizers at ski resorts where events are held
- Groupe Rossignol (our brand partner) for equipment warranty and safety purposes
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
